Community Contribution The Lakehill Preparatory School varsity volleyball team started district play Sep. 13 against Fairhill and won in three straight sets. Amanda Boles led the team in kills with 12.

By Bruce Felps In the end, Woodrow bested Conrad High last night, 42-34. The game teetered back and forth with the Wildcats taking a 1-point lead in the third quarter on a Damian Garcia point-after conversion after Conrad missed its previous attempt.

Community Contribution The Woodrow Wilson freshman football team, sometimes called “Wildkittens,” proved their mettle by beating Conrad High freshmen, 14-0, last night. The junior varsity team also won, 22-12.

Community Contribution Lakehill Preparatory School recently announced the National Merit semifinalists for the class of 2012. Two seniors, Ruth Godbey and Brandon Kinard, have been awarded this distinguished honor. 

By Bruce Felps The Woodrow Wilson High School football Wildcats face divisional foe Conrad High tomorrow night with first place on the line. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m., Oct.30, at Franklin Field.

Community  Contribution The classes at Woodrow kept the tradition of taking pre-dance photos at homecoming Sept. 24. Many students sign up for buses to take them to dinner, then to the dance, then to after-parties.
