Woodrow grad dominates Fair fried food
By Bruce Felps
Credit Woodrow Nation’s Abel Gonzalez, class of ’88, with taking State Fair of Texas fried foods to such acclaimed levels.
He masterminded Fried Butter, Fried Coke, and Fried Cotton Candy, the latter of which didn’t make it out of the testing kitchen, and this year debuts Deep Fried Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
He appeared this morning on NBC’s “Today” show for a little show-and-tell with Matt Lauer and crew. Woodrow all-world alum Kyle Rains provided the link.
Fried Sardines … sheesh.
