Area Schools Make Exemplary List

Perhaps the word “again” should be in that headline.
Even without the spot of the Texas Projection Measure, which artificially bolstered school results on state-required achievement tests in earlier measurements, more than a half dozen East Dallas schools hit the exemplary list for 2011.
Travis TAG, which attracts a significant number of students in the Woodrow feeder path, and elementary schools Bonham, Casa View, Hexter, Lakewood, Robert E. Lee, and Mount Auburn reached the coveted level.
The rankings are based on students’ performances on TAKS tests.
