From ‘Grease’ to Independence

The Great Earth Experiment — a band made up of Woodrow students — will provide musical entertainment for the community during the after-party of the Lakewood Fourth of July Parade.
The band includes mandolin player Sam Shearin, who portrayed Danny in the spring musical production of “Grease,” and guitarist Gus Miller, who joined the Burger House boys in the play.
Drew Scherger plays bass guitar in The Great Earth Experiment and also played bass in the pit orchestra during the musical.
The parade starts at 10 a.m., July 4, from the intersection of Lakewood and Cambria boulevards and ends at Tokalon Park, where The Great Earth Experiment takes the stage.
Grease was the word.
