Watching the ‘works
By Bruce Felps
Speaking of staking out a good spot from which to watch Monday night’s Fourth of Fireworks, the word just arrived from Whole Foods-Lakewood about its soon-to-be third annual Party on the Patio.
The grocer invites customers to hang out in the parking lot, set up with lawn chairs and blankets, and take in the overhead projectiles.
Whole Foods folks, meanwhile, will man the grill on the patio and fire up some Fourth of July fare such as burgers — carnivore and herbivore styles — dogs, and portabella mushrooms from 6-9 p.m., July 4, at the Abrams Road-Gaston Avenue location.
They also will offer cold drinks, beer, and wine, while the Hash Brown Blues band provides musical entertainment.
Please do not park in fire lanes or light your own grill on their lot. How gauche would that be?
