Matters of the Female Heart Matter
By Bruce Felps
According to the American Heart Association, more women die each year of heart disease than of the next four major causes, including all forms of cancer, combined.
Yikes.
Women, and their significant others, can find out more about heart disease and how to combat the killer during a free lecture next week at C.C. Young retirement center.
“Women and Heart Disease: Gender Makes a Difference,” presented by Dr. Sharon Reimold of UT Southwestern Clinical Heart Center, takes place at 7 p.m., following refreshments and socializing at 6:15 p.m., April 28, at The Point, Center for Arts and Education.
It’s part of C.C. Young’s Body, Mind, and Spirit complimentary lecture series.
