Lakewood Artist Displays at Weekend Show
By Bruce Felps
Marianne Gargour, an artist who lives in Lakewood, hits the exhibit circuit again this weekend.
She will set up at the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, which runs 5-10 p.m., April 1; 11 a.m.-10 p.m., April 2; and 11 a.m.-7 p.m., April 3 in the Deep Ellum Entertainment District, which seems like a good place to have the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. It all takes place two blocks off the DART light rail green line.
The free event features more than 120 visual arts and 90 musical acts.
The culinary aspects include Mexican, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Asian, and American fare, plus specialty desserts, wine, and beer.
You’ve got your street performers, a pet parade on Sunday, and the Taste of Deep Ellum, speaking of food.
From an East Dallas perspective, though, mostly you’ve got Marianne Gargour.
