Organizers with the Woodrow Wilson High School Band Boosters Club yesterday announced a change in venue for its inaugural chili cook-off.

The event moves from Flagpole Hill to the horseshoe at Woodrow. It still is planned to start at 1 p.m., March 27, although it now is scheduled to conclude at 3 p.m.

Contestants can complete in one of three categories, amateur, student, or professional-restaurant for a $10 entry fee. There’s still time to register to compete.

Organizers also plan for a pie sale and need contributions for that part of the program.

Contact the band booster President Kellie Hardy at (214) 821-1223 for more information or to volunteer to help out.
