Young Events
By Bruce Felps
Organizers at C.C. Young retirement center keep residents there and the community at large engaged with a variety of free monthly events.
This month, of course, is no exception.
The Greater Dallas Rotary Chorus rolls in this evening to perform its holiday and Christmas show. The performance starts at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 13, at The Point: Center for Arts and Education on the C.C. Young campus.
William “Bill” Scobie, a violinist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, rosins up the bow for a solo performance of classical music and holiday tunes at 3:30 p.m., Dec. 15, also at The Point.
A support group for caregivers of Alzheimer’s disease patients meets at The Point at 4 p.m., Dec. 16.
Richard Stanford reviews the book “Autobiography of Mark Twain, Vol. 1” by Mark Twain at 3 p.m., Dec. 17, at The Point.
There now, a little something for most everyone.

I was honored to be booked there this past year on two occasions; once as the Tomato Lady and once as the Herbs in the Bible Lady. Costumes, props & all, even a few handouts to the audience. What fun and such an appreciative audience.
I’m available also as The Fairies in the Garden Lady, The Honey Lady (all about Bees, if you please), The Hummingbird Lady and another favorite “The 1873 Dallas Lady on Butcher Pen Road”.

And of course I always promote the Bruce Felps as East Dallas.com man.
