Lakehill Preparatory School ‘s 12th annual Trek for Tech takes place Nov. 13.
The one-mile fun run and registered 5K chip-timed race begin and end at Lakehill’s main campus with the course winding through the school’s Lakewood neighborhood.
The fun run starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. An awards ceremony follows the races at 9:30 a.m.
Awards will be presented to the overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 8 and younger, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, and recognition to the first place male and female for the following age groups: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.
Everyone who finishes the one-mile fun run receives a ribbon.
The race is also open to the public. Online registration is available at until noon Nov. 9. Packet pick-up is available at Lakehill’s main campus from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. Nov. 11 and 12, and on race day, beginning at 7 a.m.
Registration is $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the race.
Proceeds from this year’s Trek for Tech goes toward upgrading two computer labs and purchase a mobile Internet lab.
