Economy bites pet boutique
By Bruce Felps
The shaky economy evidently claimed another victim.
According to a report today in Dallas’ only daily newsprint, Boutique Pet Shop along Garland Road at Old Gate Lane locks the doors one final time this weekend after a 42-year run.
That is really too bad. It’s a good shop where the folks who work there know their stuff. Bought many a fresh water fish there for the 30-gallon tank, plus more than a few things for more than a few dogs and cats, but my experience mostly was about the fish, and those guys are experts.
The report says the exterior sign is gone and all remaining items are offered at discounted prices.
That store will be missed.
