Setting Down Healthy Root Systems
by Bruce Felps
Take it from someone who’s had two trees in his yard come crashing to earth, a healthy tree and root system can make the difference between vertical and horizontal trees in the neighborhood.
Downing Hill Garden Studio and Preservation Tree Services present a discussion on the stresses faced by trees in our urban setting and how to provide relief, which, as noted by Sharon Van Buskirk, marketing director for Preservation Tree Services, “generally leads to re-leaf.”
The discussion, led by Preservation Tree Services arborists Matthew Clemons and Wendy Gawlik, takes place from 10-11 a.m., Oct. 2, at Downing Hill. Please note the time range, Texas-OU fans, you’ll be out and on your favorite barstool in plenty of time for kickoff.
The presentation also includes a brief video on how a healthy soil biology can help trees and landscape flourish.
