Natural Educations

by Bruce Felps

The Dallas Arboretum horticulturists, arborists, and plantologists know a thing or two about gardening in North Texas.

The pros want to share that knowledge, and they’ll do so during a series of adult education classes starting this weekend.

The botanical gardens offer sessions on:

  • Great Expectations! Planting now for a beautiful Spring Garden
  • From the Garden to the Table
  • Square Foot Gardening
  • Winter Hide-Away: Greenhouse Gardening for Winter
  • Down the Garden Path: Mosaic Stepping Stone
  • Sweet Light Night: Photography in the Garden
  • Butterfly Gardening for Fall
  • Good to the Last Drop! Rainwater Harvesting
  • Shady Characters: Gardening in the Shade
  • Organic Gardening Basics
  • Birding 101
  • From Drawing Board to Dream Garden
  • Year Round Color in the Garden
  • Vertical Elements: Vines, Trees, and Shrubs
  • What to plant in the Fall and Winter Gardens
  • Glass with Class: Fused Glass Panel

Check the Arboretum website, under the “Adult Education” tab for particulars such as times, dates, schedules, and costs of the classes.
