Running Down Pet Lost, Found
by Bruce Felps
Pet news emanating from Lakewood Pet Watch and Paws in the City involves a little of everything.
Midge, a Siamese-mix cat went missing Sept. 3 from her home in the 7000 block of Lakewood Boulevard.
She’s spayed and, according to her human, “she will likely never win a beauty contest, [although] she has a real nice personality and is really a sweet girl.”
Contact Midge’s human via the modern miracle that is the e-mail.
Next we have a found male Chihuahua rescued near the intersection of Munger Boulevard and Junius Street.
His rescuer found the little guy living behind his air-conditioning unit outside. After a few days of feeding him and providing water, the rescuer gained the confidence of the dog and was able to take him in out of the atmospheric elements.
The dog did not have on a collar, and a scan at Metro Paws Animal Hospital found no microchip. The Chihuahua also is physiologically intact, if you catch that drift.
The rescuer hopes to find the dog’s rightful home, a foster home, or a permanent home. Do the e-mail thing to get in touch.
Finally, we have CoCo, a female black Lab-Chatahoula mix brought to our attention by a nice neighbor lady. She’s about 2 years old and weighs 40 pounds. She’s in an East Dallas foster home now and has learned basic commands, how to walk on a leash, and not to sully the floors.
CoCo is described as smart and affectionate, great with other dogs, and a cuddle-bunny, awww.
She’s now spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. Visit the Paws in the City website to start the adoption process.
