Touring Colleges
by Bruce Felps
Starting mid-September and extending into October, Woodrow students have the opportunity to visit seven colleges … and the kids don’t have to leave the neighborhood.
Representatives of the colleges travel to Woodrow Wilson High School to present their cases for higher education.
Hofstra University comes calling at 9 a.m., Sept. 15, followed at 9 a.m. the next day by Mount Ida College.
DePaul University knocks on Woodrow’s door at 9 a.m., Sept. 22, and Texas A&M arrives at 9 a.m., Sept. 23.
Hendrix College shows up at 11 a.m., Oct. 4, and Carnegie Mellon makes its presentation at 9 a.m., Oct. 6.
Lastly, we have the University of Texas hooking it at 9 a.m., Oct. 7, and Woodrow officials “would like to see [the] top 10 percent of seniors” turn out for the Longhorns’ visit.
