Amalgamating local news

Recent East Dallas news shows a little of two ends of the community spectrum.
On the dark side, we apparently have an armed robber roaming the streets. According to a Dallas Morning News story today, the guy engages a victim in a brief conversation before brandishing a handgun and demanding cash and other valuables.
Be aware and wary out there. The attacks have occurred at night and in broad daylight.
On the brighter side of the street, Willis Winters talks about his upcoming book, “Fair Park” to be released next month.
The man is a true benefit to the city and the neighborhood.

As much as I love the People’s Republic of East Dallas, I can’t imagine not exercising my Second Amendment right while out walking around. For the stray dogs and coyotes, if not for more aggressive, two-legged would-be predators.
