Chihuahua Lost, Hound-Mix Found
by Bruce Felps
Separate e-mail messages last night brought word of two dogs on the opposite ends of the lost-found spectrum.
Blue, a 9-year-old Chihuahua, slipped out a door about a week ago while his humans carried in groceries to their home in the 5700 block of Hudson Street.
He’s described as having a bluish coat with a white chest and feet. He weighs about 5 pounds, is neutered, and out without his collar. He also has a gap between his front teeth.
His human said Blue typically is the nice sort but, like most Chihuahuas, can be a bit “temperamental” around people he doesn’t know.
E-mail Blue’s human with information concerning the dog’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, a woman rescued a female mix of questionable parentage from Samuell-Grand Park near Clermont Street and East Grand Avenue. She described the dog as white with brown spots, standard poodle size and seemingly a hound dog-mix.
The dog looked to be recently groomed and had on a black collar with silver studs. No tags on that collar, but the dog has an unregistered microchip. Close but not quite.
Contact the rescuer with information about this dog’s rightful home.
