Cool Thursdays headed out on Fast Lane
by Bruce Felps
This week marks the final installment of the Cool Thursdays spring-summer concert series at the Dallas Arboretum.
The twilight shows take a hiatus during the heat of August and return Sept. 16 for the fall series seven-show run.
Thursday’s act is Fast Lane, a tribute band covering the Eagles. And guess what … I have four tickets to give away.
But, hmmm, how to take care of logistics? The lunch thing didn’t work out so well. Neither did the happy hour thing.
So, how about this? You e-mail me and tell me if you think the Eagles were better or worse with Joe Walsh. There are no right or wrong answers, but frankly, I think he was better with The James Gang. The first two people to do that receive a pair of tickets.
We’ll figure out the logistics in the e-mil correspondence.

Was there Eagles without Joe Walsh??? NO. Hotel Calif. is the bomb then and now. Oh well, that’s my two cents. I can’t win the tickets… I have to work to late.

and a valid 2 cents it is. sorry you have to work.

Joe Walsh brought Hotel California and Life in the Fast Lane to the Eagles which are the first two songs I think of when I think about the Eagles. So I think it was very good for the Eagles to hook up with Joe Walsh. That’s my 2 cents worth.
