Parading Stars
Staff Report
Been wondering what theme organizers choose for this year’s Lakewood Fourth of July Parade?
Wonder no more. This year, “Lakewood Shows its Stars” rolls down Lakewood Boulevard July 3 starting at 10 a.m. Parade participants should arrive at the starting point, Lakewood and Cambria boulevards, at 9:15 a.m.
You know the drill — no commercial or political float entries; this is for the kids — first, second, and third place medals go out in 18 categories, and no squirt guns from floats or from the curb.
Refreshments, music, and awards happen at the Tokalon park, the stopping point, after the parade.
