White Rock Fest Set to Go
Staff Report
Damn the weather reports, full speed ahead.
The members of the White Rock Lake Foundation, organizers of the White Rock Lake Festival, press the “go” button on the two-day event tomorrow at 10 a.m., as scheduled.
In fact, they’re out there right now setting up.
That means all the concerts, all the family and kids activities, all the vendor booths and exhibits, all the pet adoptions, all the rides, and all the food concessions will happen as planned.
It all takes place — 10 a.m.-8 p.m., May 1; and 10 a.m.-7 p.m., May 2 — at Boy Scout Hill, located near the southwest corner of Buckner Boulevard and Mockingbird Lane.
“From Mockingbird, exit East Lawther and proceed to the shoreline. Tents are up, you can’t miss us,” Festival Chair Eileen Moore said in an e-mail message.
Grab your festival shoes. It’s on.
