LGNA Meeting on Tap
Advance from the LGNA May/June Newsletter
Mark your calendar for 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, for the Lower Greenville Neighborhood Association’s annual meeting at A Few of My Favorite Things, the antique and art gallery that doubles as an events space next door to Watel’s World Piece Café.
Celebrity chef Rene Peeters will create a sampling from his menu that reflects his world upbringing and travels. The address is 1800 Greenville Ave. at Lewis Street. Park in the Watel’s-marked parking lot behind Bridgestone on Lewis.
Topic
You’ll hear a brief update on Angela Hunt’s proposal for a Lowest Greenville planned development district and have a chance to ask questions.
The LGNA annual meeting also includes the elections of seven posts to the LGNA board of directors.
Gay Hopkins has been nominated for re-election to the board. She has served as LGNA’s president and vice president, and she has been active in zoning matters to protect our residential quality of life.
Standing for election to their first terms are Ken Lampton, David Jones, Corby Hankins, Stacey Davis, Debbie Daniel, and John Dailey. The six new nominees were featured in the March newsletter’s Know Your Neighbors.
All share a concern and passion for our Lower Greenville neighborhood area. Ballots have been mailed to LGNA members. At least one-third of the membership must vote, so each ballot is important.
Promptly marking and returning your ballot will be appreciated.
