Lakewood Pet Watch forwarded an e-mail message last night about Doyle, a dog who shouldn’t be difficult to pick out of a crowd.

He’s a border collie-great Dane mix who weighs about 80 pounds. He has a Dane build, although shorter than a pure-breed, with black-and-white markings characteristic of a border collie.

His human — who misses him greatly — described Doyle as “sweet and approachable, a little shy and timid, but 100 percent harmless.”

Doyle went missing Thursday from his home in the 5400 block of Belmont Avenue wearing a custom-made red canvas collar with his name and his human’s phone number embroidered in bold black letters.
